CONSULTATION
INITIAL CONSULTATION
The first consultation will be to discuss the brief for the Landscape or House project.
It is important for you to have an idea about what you would like to spend so that a solution can be found within your budget. The designers’ fees will be dependent on the size and scope of the project and this will be discussed with you so that you can decide whether or not you would like to proceed.
Landscape
If you would like to proceed, the site will be surveyed. The survey also includes a site analysis – looking at the type of soil, the aspect of the house and where the utilities are and any tree preservation orders or planning restrictions that could impact the design process.
This can usually done remotely for the majority of sites. Depending on the level of service the job requires.
Interior
We can usally import floorplan of the existing house into our software, and then amend and design from there.
Choose from just a new kitchen or bathroom design, upto a full blown house design.
Extending your home with a single storey extension or adding a dormer is easy to design remotely, and step by step designs and images will be available, to easily choose the right design for you.
MOOD BOARD
We will create a mood board using information gathered from the consultations and customer input.
This will be helpful for both parties to establish an identity and design style to follow.
Mood boards are physical or digital collages that arrange images, materials, text, and other design elements into a format that’s representative of the final design’s style
FIRST DRAFT 2D PLANS AND IMAGES
We will produce 2 or 3 alternatives of a first draft based on the information from the site consultations.
The feedback we receive will enable us to single out certain elements from all 3 drawings, and combine them, to start the next stage.
Usually at this stage we will make several small amendments for approval.
2ND STAGE OF DESIGN
FINAL STAGE OF DESIGN
By this stage we will have added all the elements required and will start fine tuning the details, by adding lighting, furniture, structures, and finalising options for materials such as paving choices, and colour, eg fencing, structures.
Structures such as a Pergola are great additions to any landscape! Or a hot tub!
Incorporate the inside – outside theme, by styling your patio with your kitchen so it blends seamlessly together.
